Covid 19 Update: India Records 9355 New Cases, Active Cases Drops Below 60,000

The rate of Covid-19 (Corona) is on the upswing once again. There is a noticeable trend in WHO Data for the Indian scenario. From 2020 onward, we had a couple of sharp spikes in ‘Daily confirmed case’. The statistics as shared by the Health Ministry department show that Corona has been facing an upward trend for the last couple of weeks. Why is this increasing suddenly? Why is the trend going upward in this manner? Well, there is no perfect answer to this. But the health workers and doctors collectively noticed that relaxation in covid appropriate behavior has much to do with the upsurge. People tend to loosen up after getting a double shot of the vaccine.

According to data released on Thursday by the Union Health Ministry, India’s coronavirus infection rate dropped to 9,355 new infections while the number of active cases dropped from 61,013 to 57,410. 26 more deaths have been added to the death toll, bringing it to 5,31,424 overall. The weekly positivity rate is 5.61 percent, while the daily positivity rate is 5.38 percent. The total for the Covid case was 4.49 crore.

According to the ministry, the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.69%, and active cases currently make up 0.13 percent of all infections. The total number of patients who recovered from the illness increased to 44,335, 977, and the case fatality rate was 1.18 percent. The website of the ministry reports that the country has already received 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine as part of the ongoing national vaccination campaign.

Additionally, 1,320 people recovered from the infection, while 4,915 samples were tested for Covid throughout the course of the last 24 hours, the advisory states. On Wednesday, with over 1,000 cases reported in the city for the second day running, the positive rate was 21.16 percent.

As for now, there are no travel restrictions by the health ministry. But it is advisable to wear the mask and take preventive measures keeping the current situation in view. The toll has been rising in the last few weeks. Unlike in 2020 and early 2021, no such announcements of lockdown have been mentioned by the government. It will definitely depend on the numbers and percentage of tolls in the upcoming days.
