For Lucknow, Krunal took three wickets and Amit Mishra swept two of the SRH which happened to be the main reason for Hyderabad’s top-order collapse.

Lucknow Super Giants have had a mixed start to their IPL 2023 campaign, winning one and losing one of their first two matches. They began with a convincing victory over Delhi Capitals, thanks to a five-wicket haul by Mark Wood and a half-century by Kyle Mayers. However, they faced a defeat against Chennai Super Kings in their second match, despite another fifty by Mayers and three wickets by Wood.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are one of the two new teams in IPL 2023, led by KL Rahul and they have made a promising start to their maiden season.
LSG have a balanced squad, with experienced players like Quinton de Kock, Krunal Pandya, Mark Wood, and Amit Mishra, as well as young talents like Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran, and Daniel Sams.
LSG have shown their ability to chase down targets as well as defending low scores in the last season of IPL, thanks to their versatile batting and bowling line-up.
LSG have also impressed with their fielding and fitness levels, which are crucial in a high-intensity tournament like IPL.
Just like last year, this year too LSG will be looking to book their positions in the Playoffs but this time they are really hoping to reach the finals. Last year they have lost in the eliminator round.
After this win, two of the LSG’s bowlers Mark Woods (8 wickets) in first position and Ravi Bishnoi (6 wickets) in second position are currently holding the two positions for the Purple Cap with KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy, GT’s Rashid Khan and PBKS’ Nathan Ellis occupying the third, fourth and fifth position respectively.

Coming to the Orange Cap holder, CSK opener Rituraj Gaikwad(149 runs in two games) is currently leading the race with LSG’s Kyles Mayers(139 runs in three games), PBKS’ Shikhar Dhawan(126 runs in two games), RCB’s Virat Kohli(103 runs in two games) and RR’s Sanju Samson (97 runs in two games) in second, third, fourth and fifth position.
