Sonakshi turns ‘Dabangg’ in Dahaad’s Poster released by Prime Videos

Amazon Prime Video has announced that Sonakshi Sinha’s debut web series “Dahaad” will be available on their platform from May 12 onwards. Sonakshi Sinha’s fans are clearly excited as she is reviving her career and collaborating with an OTT Platform for the first time.
The official Instagram handle of Amazon Prime Video shared a poster featuring the 35-year-old actress in a police uniform with the caption “Only a powerful roar can uncover the truth #DahaadOnPrime, New Series, May 12.”
Created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, the show features Sonakshi, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah in the lead roles. The eight-part crime-drama series, directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, follows sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati (played by Sonakshi) and her team as they investigate the deaths of several women in a small town police station. The deaths initially appear to be suicides but Anjali eventually discovers evidence suggesting that they may have been murdered by a serial killer. The post has been pinned by Amazon Prime Videos.

Sonakshi has been seen working with big actors in Bollywood for a long time now. She began her acting career in her father Shatrughan Sinha’s footsteps in 2010. The film “Dabangg” made her immensely popular for her quirky look and expressive dialogue delivery. “Thappad se dar nahi lagta sahab, pyar se lagta hain..” dialogue won the hearts of many. She starred in the movie along with Salman Khan. Another notable work was “Lootera” with Ranveer Singh, for which she won an award too.
In addition to her acting career, Sinha has explored singing, starting with a song in her movie “Tevar” (2015). She released her first single, “Aaj Mood Ishqholic Hai,” in the same year.
