Stranger Things fans, it’s now finally official! Stranger Things 5 has at last been confirmed as the final season of the binge-worthy Netflix series. On February 17, 2022, the Duffer Brothers announced that season 5 will be the final chapter of Stranger Things, the sci-fi series that’s sustained global phenomenon status throughout its record-breaking run-on Netflix. The teenage favorite and binge-worthy show received huge following and massive love. The show’s creators, the Duffer brothers, said: “Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things. Now, it all depends on when the season begins filming.”
After the February announcement, in August 2022, the Duffer brothers confirmed that they have started writing season 5. Other cast members have pointed out and hinted that filming could begin around mid-2023, which could indicate a possible late-2024 release date. It sounds like the Duffer brothers are confident that they can deliver another iconic season of the show, which is a really great sign considering how incredible season 4 was. Season 4 was typically the excitement-packed season so far, as expressed by the fans on social media.

Though it remains highly unconfirmed right now. David Harbour, On the other hand, who plays the role of Jim Hopper on the Netflix series confirmed the new season will begin filming in a few months. He said this while speaking at Middle East Film & Comic Con in Abu Dhabi over the weekend. He also confirmed the series would need more training to do before they start. In David’s words, “We’re walking into season five. I’ve got a couple more months to train. We start shooting that very soon and that will be the final season.”
“I did a lot of training for season four. He was in a very specific position, that Russian prison. It was about making him a different guy and sort of shedding a layer of himself physically, mentally, and emotionally. But now he’s back in town, he’s back in America where they have cheeseburgers, so he will be well-fed.”, Harbour added to his saying.
As of the sources, the makers of Stanger Things have not released any inside information about the season five shooting story as well as the cast. So, there’s still some confusion regarding who is going to be in season five or if anybody is adding to season five.
