Two Dogs and a Man Shot Dead by UK Police! Mishap Caused Chaos

Following a dog attack, the Metropolitan Police tasered a guy and shot two dogs to death. The event happened on Sunday at 5 p.m. (local time), according to the BBC. According to the police, they got a complaint of a dog attacking a woman on east London’s Commercial Road, Poplar. Social media users are sharing a video of the incident in which the man is seen walking around with the two dogs before being tasered and having them shot.

In the upsetting video, policemen approach the man with two dogs as he makes an attempt to flee while brandishing riot shields, guns, and animal catcher poles.

Also observed conversing with the individual, the policemen appear to be trying to convince him to turn himself in. When things get heated, the dogs lunge in the direction of the officers, who are then shot. The Met Police said the man was later arrested and charged over the dog attack.

According to a Met Police spokesperson, “Officers attended the location where the aggressive behaviour of two dogs was of considerable concern and posed a significant threat to them.”

“A man was arrested in connection with the incident for having a dog dangerously out of control and assault offences. He has been taken into police custody,” the spokesperson further said.

Police also justified their course of action, stating that although such decisions are “never easy to make,” they must be taken when necessary. According to the authorities, “both the dogs were destroyed” at the site.

The man was identified as Louie Turnbull, who showed up in court on Tuesday after being accused of being the owner of a dog that was dangerously out of control and having a dog despite being ineligible to own or keep a dog. Social media users argued passionately about the video and the police intervention, labelling it barbaric.

“I don’t think the dogs looked aggressive, they were both wiggling their tails,” a woman who lives in the area said.

“I was quite distressed, I was screaming at them, I was trying to stop it somehow but I couldn’t,” said her partner.
